WORKFLOW
SCHEDULING
To schedule an ultrasound, click "Request Ultrasound" on our homepage. Complete the form with your hospital information, patient history, and selected service(s). You can choose a specific doctor or the first available.
PATIENT PREPARATION
Advise pet owners to withhold food for 12-18 hours before the ultrasound, unless medically exempt, to improve image quality. Water is allowed. Please shave the examination area before our arrival. Positioning the animal during shaving can help determine if sedation is needed.
PATIENT DROP-OFF
We request that patients are dropped off in the morning. Specific appointment times aren't provided due to varying number of stops, locations, emergencies, traffic, and weather, but we will provide you with the sonographer's phone number at check-in for an ETA. Please consider using our consent form at patient drop-off.
CHECK-IN VIA TEXT
Once the patient(s) arrive, please text us at (772) 888-1553 as this helps determine your place in our daily schedule. We'll provide you with the sonographer's phone number so they can be contacted directly for an ETA.
SONOGRAPHER’S VISIT
Our sonographer will set up their equipment in your designated space within minutes. If the patient is prepared (shaved and sedated, if necessary), imaging takes about 10-15 minutes. Assistance from your staff may be needed for restraint. If the requesting DVM is available, the sonographer will provide a verbal assessment before leaving.
REPORT
We typically prepare the report immediately after the ultrasound. You can expect to receive it via email by the end of the day.
INVOICING
An invoice will be sent after the visit. We prefer ACH payments but also accept credit cards (with a convenience fee) and checks by snail mail.
