WORKFLOW
SCHEDULING
Scheduling through our website is simple and easy. Click ‘SCHEDULE ULTRASOUND’, select your county and follow the prompts. You can schedule appointments with a specific doctor or with the first available doctor.
PATIENT PREPARATION
Please have pet owners withhold food for 12-18 hours before the ultrasound unless there is a medical exception. Discomfort from food in the stomach along with obstructive gas will affect image quality. Water is always ok. Please shave animals prior to our arrival. Positioning the animal on its back or side for the shave will almost always reveal which patients will need sedation for the procedure.
PATIENT DROP OFF
We ask that patients are dropped off in the morning. We can not offer specific appointment times for the ultrasounds due to many variables including: number of stops and their locations, last minute emergency add-ons, extra procedures & complications, traffic, weather, etc. Please consider using the CONSENT form at drop off.
CHECK-IN BY TEXT
Please check in by texting us in the morning when the patient(s) have arrived 772 888 1553. When everyone has checked in we will know where you stand in the lineup and we’ll respond and give a ballpark ETA. As we get closer to that appointment time, our sonographer will make contact when en route for an exact arrival time.
SONOGRAPHER’S VISIT
When the sonographer arrives, they will set up their equipment in the space you designate within minutes. If the patient is prepared (shaved and sedated as necessary) the imaging process should only take 10-15 minutes. We will likely require the assistance of one of your staff members to find and restrain the patient(s). If the doctor who scheduled the ultrasound is available, the sonographer will give a verbal assessment before they leave.
REPORT
We will typically write the report immediately following the ultrasound.
INVOICING
We will send you an invoice following the visit. We encourage ACH payments. We also accept credit card payments (with a convenience fee) and checks by snail mail.
